Ingredients
- Apples (cored and peeled) – 4
- Walnuts (chopped) – 1 cup
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Water – 4 cups
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Whipped cream – for topping
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water, sugar, and lemon juice to a boil.
- Add the apples and simmer until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the apples and let cool. Reserve the syrup.
- Mix chopped walnuts with a bit of the reserved syrup to form a sticky filling.
- Stuff each apple with the walnut mixture.
- Serve topped with whipped cream.
